The Void (CD)
Thrash mongers Deride has been lurking around the well for over a decade by now. The Bergen based outfit made their first appearance on the local club circuit the summer of 1995, and struck a cord for blazing agro metal. The quartet made an impact on the spectators present. The band recorded their first self titled ep "Deride", caused some stir around the world and received great acclaim in various metal outings around the globe. The band further recorded a 3 track demo tape which immediately became a fan favourite, but most importantly though, it secured them a deal with US label The Music Cartel, which became the label home for their two following albums. The highly acclaimed debut "Scars of time" (June 2001) and the successor "First Round Knockout" (Nov 2003). Both albums was recorded as a 3-piece, relying on session bass players for their high octane live shows. After a break the band is finally back with a new kick ass line-up. Alongside Ole Walaunet and Kjetil Greve they`re joined by vocalist Per Helge Lande, while on bass they`ve tapped Tony Vetaas The band has recorded, mixed and mastered a new killer full length album, "The void" scheduled for release on the 27th of april 2012 through Massacre Records. Prepare to get bruised!!
