Small Obsessions (CD)
In this little pearl are held claustrophobias of theese times, eleven tracks that taste like psycho-desert-rock with gipsy reminescences. Sharp powerful guitars interlaced with rithms that evoke band marches contrasting with vocal themes that speak about eleven visions, eleven feelings, eleven small obsessions swinging between pure introspection like happens in "As the foxes" and considerations about reality, like the explicit critic to the politics that characterizes many southern towns as it is sang in "Voices".
The wrongfooted muffx's sound stuns, hits strongly and drags into a imaginary that starts from deviant, stoner atmospheres and melts with psichedelic and garage. The salentin band has understood perfectly the rock'n'roll lesson and has developped a new grammatic made of sendings back that recall Masters of Reality, and explore new music solutions as have done bands like Mars Volta and System of a Down. Abrasive guitars, vitriol voice and prog bounds (reminding the 70's), are the elements of the granitic Muffx's sound that melts with melodies and maneges to glide on endless spaces where you can breathe air, desert and red ground. SalentoAmerica round trip, a journey that shows the band tuned with the world, a project that seems to don't have a space temporal position and beacouse of it defined "alien". A musical world by wich the listener is kidnapped, a musical world that drags into a cyclone of inebriated atmospheres and slams rage on the face, a musical world that scratches in the right measure and wraps up like a hug and leaves the listener without breathe.
A phisic album that is listened with the ears and is also felt on the body like a punch in the stomach.
