The band has definitely lightened up their sound here, with a pull towards simple anthem-type songs with big, powerful sing-along choruses for the crowd to jump up and down to. It's still reasonably enjoyable - again mostly for the fact their melodies are not the totally rehashed stuff we usually hear in this genre - but they have definitely lost some of what little sincerity they previously had as a serious band. It's almost like as they get older they are trying to appeal to a younger crowd. With their new album about to drop, I'm expecting them to seriously go pop.
