2005 (CD)
The band was formed around 1992. It was the first band in Hungary using video- and slideprojections as an integral part of the performances, which were followed by 'acid parties' : also a new thing in the early 90-es. KÖ plays improvisative music, named by the media 'urban folk, earth psychedelics, action-music, the folk music of non-existing folks'. The band has 'developed their own signature sound' (Wayside Music, USA), which elements are world music, presented by instruments like fuyara, didgeridoo, jew's harp, Tuvian khömei voice; modern dance rhythms played live by the drums and many percussions, and psychedelic guitars and keyboards. KÖ was choosen twice the concert band No:1 of the year as per the public vote of the Hungarian magazine Magyar Narancs. The secret of its success is the live and improvisative performance of music, usually played on computers and the live videomix supporting the show.
KÖ is popular far beyond the borders of Hungary. Since 1993 the band tours with success in Europe and besides many clubs and fests of Western Europe they visit places like St. Petersburg (Russia), Kosova and Macedonia. The most acknowledged European world music magazine Folk Roots, (UK) called the band 'original post-folk, psyhedelic, trans-out Hungarian ravers'.
