Kristoffer Gildenlöw continues writing emotionally charged acoustic "rock" in his own style for his third full-length, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The 2012 debut felt like it owed a tad too much to Pain of Salvation (Gildenlöw's main band up until 2005), and its 2016 follow-up, while nice, was a tiny bit incoherent in its structure and goal. Homebound, though, nails just what it's going for.
