Twilight (CD)
The opening "Elis" is the highlight that had made me the MCD so dear, a mixture of fragile Dark Wave-vocals of Sabine Dünser, the suiting atmosphere and nicely crunchy guitars, an interesting mix, which also can absolutely convince qualitatively.
But the following "Sleep And Death" combines the already beloved style with electronic elements, which fortunately remain rather in the background, while "By My Side" is taking up a more modern stance, with a danceable rhythm, which should make the bodies move in the genre-clubs. Not really my cup of tea, but still quite catchy indeed.
Also in the course of the rest they are using this mixture, sometimes more into the one, then into the other direction. But still, they don't get as homogenous as on "Elis" anymore, even though songs like "Niemand kennt den Tod" or "Doch sie wartet vergebens..." are fairly appealing, but the sometimes quite RAMMSTEIN-ish guitars and the electronica that can be found in Gothic/Wave so often (why is it?) are not too helpful though.
Overall a good mix between Wave, electronics and heavy guitars, which cannot hold the level of the opener...
