Aqualung = 40th Anniversary, Steven Wilson Mix = (CD)
For the Aqualung Collector's Edition of 2011, the album was remixed by producer Steven Wilson and authorized by Ian Anderson himself. With remix, one often has the experience that the original character of the music is distorted, especially when in the new release suddenly a dynamic and clarity prevails in the recordings, which the recording techniques in the 70s did not yet allow.
However, Steven Wilson has not done that here. Jethro Tull's probably most important album remains completely intact in its charisma and character. Steven Wilson has disassembled everything into its individual parts and somehow completely dusted it off.
