Accept is a German heavy metal band from the town of Solingen, originally assembled by former vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, guitarist Wolf Hoffmann and bassist Peter Baltes. Their beginnings can be traced back to the late 60s. The band played an important role in the development of speed and thrash metal, being part of the German heavy metal scene, which emerged in the early to mid-80s. Accept achieved commercial success with their fifth studio album Balls to the Wall (1983), which was certified gold in the United States and Canada. That album spawned their wellknown hit "Balls to the Wall". Death Row is a typical Accept album, featuring a variety of heavy metal songs. The album reached the top 30 charts in countries like Germany and Sweden and managed to reach the top 50 in Japan. Death Row was pressed on vinyl upon it's original release, but only in very limited quantities, making this album one of the most sought after Accept albums on vinyl.
