A complex, intricate, creative and intriguing record. The band plays a multitude of instruments, some of them unexpected, but always with a sense of purpose, without being pretentious. The music blends various atmospheres and influences, including rock, jazz and medieval music, among others, always with an open minded and progressive perspective. It's quite often poetic, in the way it conjures different melodies without falling into obviousness. This is for me the magnum opus of the band, and only possibly 'Three Friends' (which I haven't listened to in a long time) can come close... Keep an open mind, and with a few listens you might even find that the music can be quite catchy, even if not in an obvious way...
