Os Canibais = Digipack = (CD)
Another nugget of Brazilian music from the Mocambo / Rozenblit catalogue, this one is the Debut album of Os Canibais (the cannibals). In 1964 the group started their comet-like rise in Rio de Janeiro. Jonas Silva, A&R manager at Mocambo, signed her, and already the first single made it into the top 10 with over 100,000 copies sold
Os Canibais was the first pop group to appear live with an orchestra on Brazilian television in 1966, and in 1971 they released another album under the pseudonym Bango, which was more influenced by psychedelic. "Os Canibais" contains mostly cover versions of English language beats of the time such as "Happy Together" or "See Me Back".
