Mother Earth's Plantasia = LP, Splatter = (LP)
Though Mort Garson has roots in psychedelic rock, it's good to hear him branch out to other areas on Plantasia. It's easy for one to tell Plantasia is a truly accomplished work in a sea 70's electronic - even if one hasn't botany in the past. The album is very soilful, and, though it can become mysterious and , it never becomes plantive - this isn't an album for pansies after all.
You see, Plantasia's brilliance stems from its many layers, and, I'll admit, has grown on me over thyme. The album was made when Garson was but a budding artist, and was surely hoping for a great career opportunity to turnip. When it did, Garson didn't want to just create any B-Grade music to be sold - he wanted to achieve true musical grapeness for fellow plant lovers.
