Yes, 'Deliver Us From Evil' is a far cry from the raw proto metal and weirdo song titles of the early BUDGIE records. Instead Burke Shelley and Co. deliver a first rate melodic hard rock album I rate as the best of the 3 John Thomas era releases. 'Power Supply' was almost shockingly basic and quite one-dimensional, 'Nightflight' a much more dynamic effort with better songwriting, and 'Deliver Us...' their most refined album with many terrific songs courtesy of the Shelley/Thomas axis who combine for 7 of the 10 tunes here.
