You may not even be aware of it, but at some point, on any given day, week or month, you heard the music of Trevor Rabin. Maybe it was on the radio playing one of the biggest rock hits of all time, "Owner Of A Lonely Heart" by Yes, or on one of his more than 100 movie or TV soundtracks, or even as the theme song for NBA basketball on TNT. in 2023, he returns with "Rio," his first solo album with vocals since 1989's "Can't Look Away." It's a masterpiece of idea generation combined with irrepressible musicianship, and Rabin's skills as a musical storyteller are all over the place.
