This album focuses on the lyrics rather than the instruments and melodies. As a listener who always pays most of his attention to the latter two, I find it very hard to handle this album. The very few parts in which strong melodies are in the center are the most enjoyable for me- El Dorado pt.2, Living in Fear (though I don't like the way it ends) and some parts of White Paper. All the other parts of the album put the lyrics in the middle, in some cases more successfully than others. The New Kings is a lyrical anti capitalistic masterpiece, and any listener can relate to this topic (even if not to agree to the opinions the song expresses). The Leavers has a very clear topic but I find it too unrealistic to relate to, as I don't believe that there are real humans like the one the song is about. And El Dorado is just all over the place, trying to say too much on too many things.
