Blue Mountain Eagle (CD)
While it is nearly impossible to capture in words the heady experience that was the 60's to mid-70's, we hear all the time about those oh-so-rare over the top psych albums. Today we rush to get them and can be very disappointed when we actually listen to them. Maybe because you just can not replicate the times and atmosphere--and the drugs. But Blue Mountain Eagle would play all the time and were friendly and open. Beisdes that, they made a really decent LP. It certainly was around everywhere for years for those vinyl hounds who were looking. And it is a better than average album. Good players who went on to play with all sorts of interesting bands, Arthur Lee's Vindicator, Augie Meyers, Dewey Martin's Medecine Ball to name a few.
