Vol. 1 (CD)

Monument were a French band which is pretty unknown nowadays. Their sole LP is called Vol. 1 and it was released in 1970. The album was included in Hans Pokora's famous book but apart from that this record is pretty forgotten. The band plays a quite straightforward form of hard rock with psychedelic elements. The album includes lots of organ and I can say that I enjoy their sound very much. In my opinion this 30 minutes long little LP is a pretty good totality. There are no clear standout moments on this LP but on the other hand all of the songs are pretty solid and entertaining!
