Of all the recent Aussie metal to filter through of late, Daysend are easily one of the most developed and evolved groups to have released a debut in sometime. This could have to do with the calibre of people involved in the band (ex-members of Psi-Kore, Deadspawn etc) and the production completed by D.W. Norton, whose work on the mix of this disc is honestly breathtaking. The opening track 'Born Is The Enemy' demonstrates this perfectly as does the haunting 'Prism Of You' (which also features some ripping double kick work). Easily a contender for the best Australian metal record of the year!
